About
Scaunul Domnului (God's Chair) is one of the best known attractions in the Mureș Canyon. Right above the Deda Bistra village, with over 1.381 m in altitude, it providea a wonderful panorama over the entire area. Local legends say that this is the chair God will sit on at Doomsday.
36 km away from Reghin, it can be reached from the DN15 road.
Multiple routes are available:
Blue route: starts from the Deda-Bistra village, aproximately 9 km long, medium difficulty and it takes 3-4 hours.
Blue croce and blue triangle: starts at the Deda-Bistra forest road then up on the Zăpodia cu Cale river valley, slightly longer than the first one.
Blue circle: starts from the Gălăoaia village, from the Gălăoaia cabin, then goes on the Gălăoaia Mica river valley until Poiana de Mijloc, then goes down to Vf. Scaunul. This is the longest route.
