Str. Pandurilor, nr.120, Reghin, Romania, 545300

Like any story, and the Gliga Group of Companies has its charm. A story wrapped around something as delicate as strong: the violin.
Gliga left the Hora factory in 1991 to start his own business. His company now produces musical instruments that are exported worldwide and has a turnover of EUR 1.2 million per year. Gliga is now an MP and his children run the business.
The "Gliga" brand has already been registered internationally, and Reghin tools are sold worldwide. "We want the instruments to be sold as soon as possible to music teachers." More than half of the "Gliga" instruments arrive in the United States where Cristian, the eldest son of the family, opened a firm, Gliga Violin USA, which sells over 3,500 instruments annually.

Reghin, a town of 30,000 in central Romania, is famous worldwide for the musical instruments produced here. Musicians that play or have played on instruments manufactured in Reghin include Soviet violinist David Oistrakh, who performed at the 1967 Enescu Festival on a violin manufactured here, and Romanian pan-pipe player Gheorghe Zamfir.
