The Historic Center urban ensemble (19th-20th centuries) is a monument mentioned in the Historic Monuments List of MS-II-a-A-15758 and includes the Petru Maior Square from no. 1-55 and Mihai Viteazu Street to the intersection with Porumbei Street.

From an urbanistic point of view Reghin has developed around this central market where weekly fairs were once held.

The buildings as they appear today are the result of reconstruction works following the Revolution of 1848, and the facade plastic includes neo-baroque, neo-classical and eclectic elements.
