ALPINA SHOE PRODUCTION
The factory was founded in 1959 in Reghin under the name IPM Sport, initially producing sport shoes. In 1991 the company goes through a transformation and Alpina starts to be the name the factory is known as until present.
Since 1998 it became part of Omniwear Group, a Dutch multinational company in the footwear industry since two generations.
Alpina Shoe Production has a wide experience in development and manufacturing. The company produces its own designs men’s and women’s fashion shoes for leading international retailers as like ALDO, ZARA, DUNE and SACHA.
Throughout the years the factory has mastered the development and production process and supplied also sports brands like PUMA and DECATHLON were part of the production portfolio while VIKING performance Skating boots are still produced in Reghin - more than 40 Years!
Nowadays the company has a wide portfolio for women and men, from performance and casual to sport casual and fashion. In 4 to 6 seasons, Development & Design team pays a close attention to the market trends and preferences, bringing new and unique collections in Production lines.
Annually the company produces almost 1 million pairs of shoes. Each day over 500 employees are involved in bringing to customers 4.000 pairs of shoes. Shoe manufacturing is a traditional craft complemented by integrating new technology through consistent investments of the company.
Serving the fashion market means quick response to trends and highest flexibility. More than 90 percent of the footwear units that we produce are manufactured in our own plant. We also partner with dedicated contractors who supply according to our specifications and under our own supervision. This makes us a reliable partner assuring high quality products and quick response to market and customers’ requirements.
